How SYDORTHO ASSET PTY LTD collects, uses, stores and protects personal information — and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
SYDORTHO ASSET PTY LTD ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian company that invests in and manages medical property and medical equipment. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and in the course of our business dealings.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What information we collect
We collect personal information that you choose to give us, such as:
- your name, email address, phone number and organisation (when you submit an enquiry or contact us);
- the content of messages and documents you send us in connection with a property, practice or equipment matter;
- business information you provide when discussing a potential transaction or tenancy.
This website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not collect information through hidden means. For details about the limited technical storage used by this site, see our Cookie Policy.
Some enquiries naturally carry a health-related context — the clinical services a practice provides, for example. We collect such information only where you choose to share it, handle it with heightened care, and use it for no purpose beyond the enquiry or relationship it relates to.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide information you have requested;
- assess and progress property, equipment or tenancy opportunities;
- manage business relationships and maintain records;
- meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
We do not use your personal information for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
4. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information where it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or where you consent, including to:
- professional advisers (legal, accounting, valuation and similar) acting for us;
- service providers engaged to support our operations, on a need-to-know basis;
- authorities, where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
5. Storage and security
Personal information is generally stored in Australia. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information we hold against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Retention periods are based on our business and legal record-keeping needs; when information is no longer required, we dispose of it securely.
In practical terms: access to enquiry records is limited to the people in our company who need it to respond; records are held in secured systems with access controls; and once an enquiry concludes without a business relationship, correspondence is retained only as long as professional and legal record-keeping requires, then securely destroyed.
6. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We may ask you to verify your identity, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
You may also ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, how it is stored, and with whom (if anyone) it has been shared. Before making changes or releasing a copy, we may ask you to verify your identity — a small inconvenience that protects you, and a step we would want anyone holding your information to take.
7. Complaints
If you believe we have breached our privacy obligations, you can raise a complaint with us by email or phone. We will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version.
